Updated 25 October 2026 for version 3.0.
WP Eventbrite Embedded Checkout puts Eventbrite’s own ticket checkout on your WordPress site. You create and manage your event on Eventbrite as usual; the plugin shows its checkout on your pages, so people buy tickets without leaving your website. It’s free, and it needs no Eventbrite API key and no account connection: you paste the link to your event, and that’s it.
Here are the benefits of selling your Eventbrite tickets this way.
Buyers stay on your website
Instead of sending visitors to eventbrite.com, the checkout opens right where they read about your event: on the page, or in a popup over it. Fewer clicks and no change of website make it easier to finish the purchase, and your page keeps their attention.
It works well on phones
With Popup on phones turned on, small screens get a button that opens the checkout full screen, which is what Eventbrite recommends for phones. Larger screens keep the checkout on the page.
Any number of events, for free
Each block, Elementor widget and shortcode can sell tickets for a different event. Put one event on each page, or several on the same page. Since version 3.0 this is part of the free plugin.
Easy in the editor you already use
- Block editor: the Eventbrite Checkout block shows the real checkout while you edit.
- Elementor: the Eventbrite Checkout widget, with a Style tab for the button.
- Classic editor and other builders: a shortcode, built for you on the plugin’s Shortcode page.
Your brand, your button
Put your brand colour on the checkout’s buttons and links, match the button to your theme or give it your own colours, and apply an Eventbrite promo code when the checkout opens.
Know what sells
Turn on purchase tracking to send an event to the Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel tags already on your site, and send buyers to your own thank-you page after their order.
Eventbrite still does the hard parts
Payment, tickets, confirmation emails and your attendee list stay with Eventbrite, exactly as on eventbrite.com, and Eventbrite’s usual fees apply. Nothing about your orders is stored in WordPress.
How to get started
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for Eventbrite checkout and install WP Eventbrite Embedded Checkout.
- Open your event on Eventbrite and copy its link from the address bar.
- Add the Eventbrite Checkout block (or the Elementor widget), paste the link, and pick On the page or Button that opens a popup.
Your site needs https: Eventbrite shows its checkout only on secure pages. See the documentation for the details, or try the embedded and popup demos.
