How to install the plugin
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Eventbrite checkout, find WP Eventbrite Embedded Checkout and click Install Now, then Activate.
- The Get started page opens under the new Eventbrite menu.
You can also download it from WordPress.org and upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
How to add an event
- Open your event on Eventbrite and copy its link from the address bar, for example
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/your-event-tickets-123456789012. The number at the end is the event ID; you can use either. - On Eventbrite → Get started, paste the link. It saves itself, and every new block and widget starts with this event.
- Click Create a page with the block (or with the widget if you use Elementor), or add the checkout to any page yourself:
- Block editor: add the Eventbrite Checkout block (type “eventbrite” in the block search) and paste the event’s link. The real checkout appears in the editor.
- Elementor: add the Eventbrite Checkout widget and paste the link.
- Classic editor, Divi, Bricks and other builders: use the shortcode, for example
[wp-eventbrite-checkout event="123456789012"]. Eventbrite → Shortcode builds it for you.
- Pick how to show it: On the page, or a Button that opens a popup.
To sell tickets for another event, add another block, widget or shortcode with that event’s link. There is no limit.
Options
- Popup on phones: on small screens, the checkout on the page becomes a button, and the checkout opens full screen, as Eventbrite recommends.
- Height: for the checkout on the page, 425 px or more.
- Button: text, style (match your theme, or simple) and colours.
- Checkout colour: your brand colour on Eventbrite’s buttons and links.
- Promo code: applied when the checkout opens. Create the code in Eventbrite first.
- Eventbrite → Advanced: send an
eventbrite_purchaseevent to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel, and send buyers to your own thank-you page.
Set defaults for every checkout under Eventbrite → Settings.
